A dense housing tissue, an old, small building having two complete blind walls, a very low budget (300 euros/sqm.) combined with the need for rehabilitation and attic addition to serve as housing for a family outlines the premises of this project. The survey and analysis revealed an original construction with two rooms and a vaulted cellar, elements that we preserved in the project. We proposed two events to give the house identity within the austere budget. On the outside, we decided to mark the only visible corner of the house with a loggia that rises more than the attic, which takes exactly the neighboring roof profile. On the inside, we have chosen to position the stair in the darkest corner of the existing construction, in an effort to bring to the ground floor zenithal light.
